Soy Sesame Ginger Garlic Marinated Halibut

Buttery wild-caught halibut in a flavour-packed marinade. Salty tamari, spicy sriracha, fresh ginger, garlic, and a touch of coconut sugar with toasted sesame create the perfect sweet-savoury balance. The fish bakes up tender and flaky, making it a simple weeknight option that still feels like a special dinner.


What You Need (Serves 2–3)

1 lb wild-caught halibut fillet 

3 tbsp organic soy sauce or tamari/coconut aminos for GF 

1 tbsp sriracha 

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated

1 tsp toasted sesame oil

1 tsp coconut sugar or honey/maple

½ tsp onion powder 

1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds 

1 scallion, thinly sliced


Method

Whisk together soy/tamari, sriracha, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, coconut sugar, onion powder, and sesame seeds.

Coat halibut in marinade, cover, and chill for 30–60 minutes.

Bake at 400°F for 10–12 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Top with scallions and extra sesame seeds.


Serving Suggestions

Pairs perfectly with jasmine or coconut rice and sautéed greens for a balanced, nourishing meal.
