My story
I’m Taylor Robinson, a Holistic Health and Wellness Nurse and Nutrition Specialist, and the creator behind Dishing with Tay. My passion for whole-food living didn’t come from a textbook. It came from years of struggling with severe cystic acne, digestive issues, chronic inflammation, and a level of daily discomfort I assumed was “normal.” For six to seven years, my body was screaming for help, and I didn’t have the education or awareness to understand what it was trying to tell me.
Through my own healing, I learned that real wellness isn’t found in extreme diets, rigid rules, or obsessing over ingredients. It comes from understanding your body, supporting digestion, and nourishing yourself with simple, whole foods that work with your biology. I also discovered the beauty in getting back to basics, shopping the outer aisles of the grocery store, choosing real food that doesn’t need an ingredient list, and focusing on nourishment rather than perfection.
As my symptoms improved and I finally began to feel at home in my body, I started sharing the recipes that helped me feel nourished instead of restricted. I’ve always said healthy eating doesn’t have to be plain, and that every food has its purpose. That’s where the idea of food with benefits truly came alive for me.
Today, I combine my clinical nursing experience with functional nutrition, holistic wellness, and hands-on patient care to create high-protein, whole-food-based recipes that are gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, and gentle on the gut. My goal is to simplify nourishment so you can feel steady in your energy, confident in your choices, and supported in your body.

My approach is to educate and empower you. I love getting people excited about cooking whole, nourishing foods, showing that healthy eating can be packed with flavour, comfort, and joy. Nothing bland, boring, or restrictive.
